Still Life Photography

STILL LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY

¡COMPOSITIONAL TECHNIQUES- this image uses the ‘Colour’ Element of Design as the Apples are in colour whereas the rest of the image is black and white. This image also incorporates the ‘Shape’ Element of Design, as the background is black which then was able to clearly show the overall shape of the fruits and bowl.

AESTHETICS- this is visually attractive as the whole image is black and white and the apples are red which makes it a lot more attractive with the toning and colour representation.

COMPOSITIONAL TECHNIQUES- in this image the 'Texture' Element of Design is incorporated as to me it seems like its trying to show the roughness of the strawberries and the silky smoothness of the melted chocolate being poured over the strawberries. I also believe the 'Shape' Element of Design is being used as the shape of the strawberries is shown quite clearly the shapes the chocolate is taking place while going onto the strawberries.
AESTHETICS- this image is artistically attractive is they have gone through lots of planning and effort to actually place the strawberries in a nice and neat manner and having the silky smooth chocolate poured onto the strawberries.
COMPOSITION TECHNIQUES- in this Still Life I believe the 'Shape' Element of Design is incorporated as the background is much darker compared to the white shoes, which then has the ability to show the complete shape of the shoe and line. I say the normal shutter speed has also been used in taking this photo.
AESTHETICS- this Still Life is quite cool as it shows white sneakers on a line in front of a blue sky making the colour combination quite amazing and attractive.
